Scoping

Last week, my program invited Neil Summerour for a lecture. This man is a great type designer who graduated from the University of Georgia. He talked about his beginning in the major and where it lead him to: success. Big names such as ABC and Victoria's Secret are currently using his typefaces and he has won awards from TDC. I got the chance to show him my logotype and he gave me some great pointers and tips. The conclusion of the night: find a circle of designers who will give you good and constructive criticism. Stray away from those who say, "I like it!"

The current stage of my exit project: logotype design is done and brandmark approaches need to be complete by the end of this week. I discussed my expansion ideas with my professor the other day and I'm setting on stationary, package design, website design, uniform, and a 30 second flash presentation. I may add a poster or two to play on my package redesign.

My current type inspiration: Sudtipos

This month: (re)discovering my passions, likes, wants, dreams, and goals to figure out where and what I want to do after college. Here's one, where fine arts meets commercial, no pun intended!:
